Thank you for contributing data to the H-Unique research project, researching the uniqueness of the human hand.
This small application will guide you through the submission of photographs of your hands and the collection of supporting information.
The minimum information we require for the project is three images per hand. Providing additional information is optional but doing so will aid our research.
It should take approximately 10 minutes to complete the process. Due to the potentially large file size of photo uploads, please ensure you have a strong, reliable internet connection.
Explanatory information about what data we collect and why can be viewed by clicking the 
icon wherever it is displayed.
Once your data is uploaded, please make a note of the reference number shown. Since all information is collected anonymously, you will need this code if you wish to contact us to withdraw your data.
Demographic information tells us a little about your general characteristics and is used to help classify the hand photos that you submit. All of the information in this section is optional but providing it will help us to ensure that we cover a broad spectrum of society.

This section relates to medical conditions and other factors that may affect hand appearance but are not specific to one hand or the other. All of the information in this section is optional but providing it will help us to tune our models more accurately.

In the next two sections we will ask you to take a number of images of your hands. To help ensure high quality usable photos, please read the imaging guidelines before continuing.
In this section we are interested in how your left hand looks and the factors influencing that. To perform our research we need a minimum of three images of each hand in specific positions. Other images are optional. We also ask a series of questions about injuries and scarring on the left hand - answering these is optional but doing so will aid in the development of feature recognition algorithms.
